The full story of mining's environmental, economic, social, and cultural impacts has not been told to the public.  When the public is made aware of mining impacts, over 70% support stronger protections. 

The EARTHWORKS media program is designed to put a spotlight on what's wrong with mining in an effort to create pressure for better standards and practice.  It profiles impacted communities, reports on mine accidents and spill, and reports on reforms and necessary changes.
